Ferrari confirmed plans to launch its first EV in October as one of six new vehicles debuting in 2025. Ahead of its official debut, the new electric car was spotted testing out in public. Ford’s electric F-150 Lightning is losing ground as its aging EV lineup faces new threats

Ford’s F-150 Lightning is losing ground in the US with new electric pickups like the Tesla Cybertruck and Chevy Silverado EV now available. Although Ford plans to launch smaller, more affordable EVs, including an SUV and pickup, they won’t arrive for (at least) another two years. With new threats, including a wave of lower-cost EVs and Trump threatening to impose tariffs on imports from Mexico, will Ford’s aging lineup set it further behind?

I went back to China to tour more e-bike factories and visit companies. Here’s what I saw

Last month I was fortunate enough to take a trip to China and visit seven different micromobility companies, each of which invited me to tour their factory, test out their new products, or attend their major events. The trip is something of a sequel to the first Chinese factory tour trip I took last year (with the documentary of that trip racking up millions of views on YouTube).

Here’s an up-close look at the new Tesla Model Y, now in 17 showrooms across US

Last month, Tesla unveiled the new Model Y in the United States, featuring an all-new light bar design, a redesigned rear-end, and a refreshed interior. It’s currently available as a “launch series” model, starting at $59,990 – with deliveries beginning in March.

The new Model Y is currently in 19 Tesla showrooms across North America, 17 in the United States and 2 in Canada. I took the opportunity to head to the one in New York’s Meatpacking District to get some up close photos, as well as share some thoughts.

EV charging alliance IONNA moves into full-scale deployment of 30k new charger bays in US

OEM alliance and EV charging juggernaut IONNA has announced a key milestone today, transitioning from public beta testing in the US to a full-scale national release. The EV charging joint venture intends to deploy over 1,000 bays in the US this year en route to tens of thousands more this decade and has teased some exciting tech to make the overall experience more familiar for American drivers.

Lucid’s (LCID) EV sales climbed 50% in January after launching its new Gravity electric SUV

After launching its first electric SUV in December, Lucid’s (LCID) US sales climbed 51% last month from a year ago. According to a new report, Lucid sold 50 Gravity models in its first month on the market.

US solar module production capacity reaches 50+ GW

The US solar manufacturing industry just hit a historic milestone: Domestic solar module production capacity has surpassed 50 gigawatts (GW). If all these factories ran at full capacity, they could produce enough modules to meet the country’s entire solar demand.
