Elon Musk shuts down ‘4D chess’ theory on Tesla Optimus production

Elon Musk has directly rejected a popular fan theory that Tesla is secretly further ahead on Optimus than it lets on, warning instead that production of its humanoid robot “will be extremely slow at first.”

The comment cuts against a bullish narrative that Tesla’s quiet stretch on Optimus is a strategic head-fake — and lines up with the company’s own repeatedly delayed timeline.

Tesla (TSLA) Q2 2026 deliveries jump 25% to 480,126, beating estimates

Tesla delivered 480,126 vehicles in the second quarter of 2026, up 25% from the same quarter a year ago and roughly 74,000 vehicles above Wall Street’s consensus estimate.

E-bikes bring both bad and good, but one greatly outweighs the other

Spend enough time reading the news and you’d be forgiven for thinking e-bikes are society’s newest menace. Every week seems to bring another headline about reckless teenagers weaving through traffic, riders flying down sidewalks, battery fires, or politicians introducing bills to crack down on electric bicycles.

But with that experience, including riding hundreds of e-bike models and countless thousands upon thousands of miles on electric bikes around the world, I can’t help but feel that we’ve lost sight of the bigger picture.
