Van Hool double-decker electric bus with Proterra battery drives 2,500 miles from Florida to California on public chargers

North American motor coach seller ABC Companies has announced another successful trip across the US, this time using a Van Hool TDX25E all-electric bus. The double-decker motor coach was “Proterra Powered” and traveled 2,524 miles from Winter Garden, Florida, to Costa Mesa, California, using only public charging stations. This latest trip further showcases the potential of battery-electric buses, even larger models like the TDX25E.

Tesla is tripling your Model Y delivery time if you don’t add on the $12,000 FSD option

A recent update to Tesla’s website configurator reveals that it is prioritizing reservations that include the $12,000 full self-driving (FSD) option, at least for the Model Y and Model 3. For reservations of the Tesla Model Y in particular, delivery estimates change from six months from today (September), to two months (May), simply by choosing the FSD add-on.

Rivian announces Q4 results: loses $2.4 billion, revises production to 25,000 EVs in 2022

Rivian has released its Q4 2022 earnings today and confirmed that it lost over $2.4 billion during the last quarter as it still faces significant challenges in ramping up production.

The automaker has revised its production target for 2022 to 25,000 and it plans to lose money on those.

Former Formula E driver Bruno Senna joins Airspeeder as eVTOL pilot and global ambassador

Nascent eVTOL racing league, Airspeeder, has announced its fourth pilot to join, and it’s Bruno Senna – a former Formula One and Formula E racing driver, current member of Rebellion Racing in the FIA World Endurance Championship, and eSports World eX Championship winner. Senna joins as a development pilot, bringing his racing expertise to the league before its first Grand Prix begins in 2023.

84% of Florida voters support solar net metering, but Gov. DeSantis will gut it anyway

Florida governor Ron DeSantis (R) is expected to sign a bill after the state’s House and Senate passed it that would slash rooftop solar credits in the state. This would deny many homeowners net metering in the Sunshine State, and harm its solar industry.
