Following on the heels of two new models announced last week, now the Ampler Stellar, Curt, and Stout are all getting Generation 2 updates that see the bikes packed with new tech and features.

First look: 2022 Volvo XC60 Recharge PHEV boosted to 35 EV miles

Volvo flew us out to sunny Palm Springs to test the relatively new C40 BEV. But the Gothenburg, Sweden-based company couldn’t help but give us a quick drive in the bigger XC60 Recharge plug-in hybrid while we waited. The mid-sized SUV got a nice upgrade this year to 35 miles of all-electric driving in its ‘Pure’ mode. That puts it into our “if you can commute without using gas, it’s an EV” category, but that wasn’t the only improvement…

Ford shares plans for several more EVs in Europe and a JV to build a massive commercial vehicle battery plant in Turkey

American automaker Ford Motor Company, has outlined plans to expedite its push for EVs in Europe, promising nine all-electric models by 2024, seven of which are new to a lineup that already includes the Mustang Mach-E followed by the E-Transit next quarter. Vehicles from commercial unit Ford Pro, and the recently announced Ford e, combine to further expand Ford EV adoption in Europe.

Sono Motors begins building its series-validation SEVs in new white bodies ahead of 2023 production

Sono Motors has moved one phase closer to production of its Sion Solar Electric Vehicle (SEV), as it has completed its prototype phases and has begun building series-validation vehicles for testing and certification. The startup plans to build 37 validation SEVs that will be built with white bodies instead of the usual black exterior we have grown accustomed to, as the Sion has progressed.
