Schwinn’s electric bicycle line has significantly expanded over the last couple years. When I first started riding electric Schwinns, I was largely limited to cruiser e-bikes. But with several new commuter-specific e-bikes like the Schwinn Coston CE that I recently tested, this household bicycle name is making a big move on the wider e-bike market.

Elon Musk says Tesla will have self-driving cars without need for human driver this time next year

Elon Musk told reporters in Brazil that Tesla will have self-driving cars without the need for human drivers behind the wheel for supervision or at all really around this time next year.

It’s Musk’s latest timeline on Tesla’s full self-driving effort, but he has been wrong about those in the past.

Tesla files plans for diner/drive-in theater supercharger on Santa Monica Blvd. in Hollywood

Tesla has reportedly filed plans for a 29-stall supercharger and diner/drive-in theater location in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California. The location is at 7001 Santa Monica Boulevard at the intersection with Orange Drive.

Awesomely Weird Alibaba Electric Vehicle of the Week: Ride-on full-sized stuffed animals

I’ll admit it – things have gotten pretty weird and wild in this column in the past. But while vehicles like electric submarines, backyard trains, and party buses shaped like tigers all have a certain indescribable charm to them, this week’s electric vehicle stretches the limits of what you could reasonably call “a vehicle.”

But then again, that’s what we’re here for. It just wouldn’t be the Awesomely Weird Alibaba Electric Vehicle of the Week if it wasn’t both awesome and weird. And while I know I may never get a Pulitzer for this thankless work, it’s enough to know that people out there are at least scratching their heads and going, “Well, huh.” So buckle up because this one is going to be a wild ride.

Hyundai Motor Group announces its first dedicated EV facilities coming to the US

Following rumors circulating earlier this month, Hyundai Motor Group has officially signed an agreement with the state of Georgia to invest $5.5 billion in new facilities dedicated to EV and battery manufacturing. When complete, these new facilities will be Hyundai’s first EV-specific manufacturing on US soil and will produce a wide range of upcoming electric models.
