Cadillac Lyriq first drive: A year early and dollar long at $60K

GM flew us out to beautiful Park City Utah to take a look at the Cadillac Lyric EV last week. It was our first hands-on drive of GM’s first mass-market Ultium drivetrain (with apologies to the 9,000 lb. gorilla in the room, niche HummerEV) vehicle. With Cadillac no longer releasing ICE vehicles and going full EV in just 8 short years, it isn’t a stretch to say that the brand is betting the company on the success of its first EV. Stock version of the Lucid Air Grand Touring wins fastest production car at Goodwood 2022

During this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, Lucid Motors not only publicly debuted its Air Grand Touring Performance for the first time, but raced up the famed hill … quickly. Manned by professional driver Ben Collings, the Lucid Air Grand Touring recorded a time in the Goodwood Hillclimb Timed Shootout fast enough to claim the crown as fastest production car.

GMC Hummer EV will get new ‘Extract Mode,’ delivering 16 inches of ground clearance

Ford issues safety compliance recall on F-150 Lightning, citing issue with tire pressure increasing risk of crash

Ford Motor Company has just issued its first safety recall on its all-electric F-150 Lightning pickup. According to the American automaker, the issue is surrounding the EV’s tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) but only affects trucks delivered with certain size tires.

Rhode Island sets fastest state target of 100% renewable electricity by 2033

In June, Rhode Island’s House and Senate approved legislation, expected to be signed into law by Governor Daniel McKee (D-RI), that will require all of the state’s electricity to be offset by renewable energy by 2033 – the fastest timeline of any state in the US.
